29. Mudando o Foco: A Voz Passiva
29.1 O Que é a Voz Passiva (Passive Voice)?
Na Voz Ativa, o sujeito realiza a ação. Na Voz Passiva, o sujeito recebe a ação. O foco muda do agente para a ação ou o objeto.
Ativa: The company launched a new product. (A empresa lançou um novo produto.)
Passiva: A new product was launched. (Um novo produto foi lançado.)
Usamos a Voz Passiva quando o agente (quem realiza a ação) é desconhecido, irrelevante ou óbvio, ou quando queremos dar ênfase à ação em si. É muito comum em contextos formais, como notícias e relatórios científicos.
29.2 Estrutura: Verbo "To Be" + Particípio Passado 🏗️
A Voz Passiva é formada usando o verbo auxiliar "To Be" conjugado no tempo verbal apropriado, seguido pelo Particípio Passado (Past Participle) do verbo principal.
Estrutura: Sujeito (receptor) + Verbo "To Be" (conjugado) + Particípio Passado + (by + agente).

Read the text below, which describes the process of making a modern car. Pay close attention to the use of the Passive Voice. Then, try to translate it into Portuguese.
The creation of a modern car is a highly complex process where thousands of parts are brought together with incredible precision. First, the design is finalized by a team of engineers and artists. Computer models are used to simulate performance and safety before any physical parts are made.
Once the design is approved, the manufacturing stage begins. Large sheets of metal are pressed into shape by giant machines to form the body panels. These panels are then welded together by robots to create the car's frame. The entire frame is dipped in special chemicals to prevent rust. After this, multiple layers of paint are applied, also by automated robots, to ensure a perfect finish.
While the body is being prepared, the engine is assembled in another part of the factory. Hundreds of components, from pistons to wires, are put together by skilled technicians. Each engine is tested rigorously before it is sent to the main assembly line.
On the final assembly line, the car really starts to take shape. The engine is installed, the wiring is connected, and the interior parts, like seats and the dashboard, are fitted into place. Finally, the windows and wheels are added. Before any car leaves the factory, it is inspected thoroughly. Every system, from the brakes to the headlights, must be checked. Only after this final inspection is the car considered ready to be shipped to dealerships around the world.
