15.1 Falando Sobre o Amanhã: Usos do Futuro com "Will" 🗣️
O verbo modal "will" (/wɪl/ ou /wəl/ - UÊL ou UÃL) é usado para expressar ideias sobre o futuro. Ele não muda de forma com os diferentes sujeitos (I will, you will, he will, etc.). O verbo principal que o acompanha fica sempre na forma base (infinitivo sem "to").

Next Saturday, our family will finally test our new sky-car. My son, Leo, thinks it will be the most exciting day of his life. He keeps saying, "Dad, I bet it will fly faster than a rocket!" I'm not so sure about that, but I truly hope he'll enjoy the experience. My wife, Clara, will be in charge of the food. She will pack a futuristic picnic for us. She told me she won't make any old-fashioned sandwiches. Instead, she'll prepare nutrient paste and some bottles of hydro-juice. She believes it will be a much healthier option for everyone.
I'll probably miss the taste of real bread, but I promise I won't complain about it. Our plan is to fly over the new mega-city and see the famous vertical farms from above. The weather forecast says it will be a sunny day, with no chance of acid rain, which is great news. We won't stay out too late in the evening because Leo will have his virtual reality homework to finish before bedtime. I think we will create some wonderful and lasting memories together.
Perhaps we'll even see a commercial spaceship taking off from the spaceport. That will surely be a sight to remember for a long time. I promise I will take a lot of holo-pictures to show our friends. Clara says she'll probably just relax and enjoy the incredible view from the sky-car. She definitely won't worry about traffic, for sure. Leo will likely ask a million questions about the sky-car's anti-gravity engine, and I'll try my best to answer them all. I believe it will be a perfect family day, a small adventure in our high-tech lives. These moments will be what we cherish most.
